Bread Pudding



Ingredients:
Bakery products
·         1 packet  slice white bread (or any stale bread of 2 to 3 days refrigerated will do)

Poultry
·         Egg white – 3

Dairy Products
·         ¼ litre milk
·         50 gms butter
·         25 gms ghee (melted)

Dry
·         25 gms dry coconut pd
·         1/4 kg sugar (less or more adjust sweetness)

Dry fruits
·         Almond & Raisins (You can add any dry fruit of your choice)

Other
·         Vanilla essences  1 tsp


Note: If the Bread is stale soak the bread in 1 glass of water

Method:

1)      Mix everything together, semi crush the bread. Add nuts & ess. Keep aside for 15mts.

2)      Then take the baking round tray sprinkle
2 tbsp or more sugar & keep on gas on very slow fire till the sugar starts burning into golden caramel.

3)      Note: the caramel should be golden colour very light (not black or dark brown it will taste bitter)

4)      Once done off gas add the pudding mixture cover tin with foil & steam in pressure cooker. Place the tray on a cooker rack add 3 glass water in cooker.

5)      Steam for 25 to 30 mins.

6)      U can even bake this Pudding in the oven for 30 to 40 mins till done. Note: while baking u can’t add caramel it further cooks & becomes bitter.  

     Serve cold
