Mazipan




Ingredients:


Dry Fruits
·         Cashew nuts- 1 cup ( you can take almonds as well)

Dairy products
·         4 tbsp butter
·         Half cup milk

Dry
·         Sugar powder– 1 cup

Essences
·         Rose water / Vanilla essences – 1 tsp

Other
·         Food colour

Method:
1)      Boil the cashew nuts in little water for about 5 mins.

2)      In a grinder add boiled cashew nuts, essence, milk  and half the amount of sugar powder till it becomes a smooth paste .

3)      Add the rest of the sugar and mix well.

4)      Into a vessel add the paste and butter and work it on the slow flame till it comes together as dough.

5)      Get it off the gas add food colour and kneed it for about 2 – 3 mins, then put it into moulds.



Need to be served at room temperature
