What’s Your Number?
It’s about a young girl, who makes a list of all the guys she has slept with in order to find her perfect prince. Ally reads an eye-opening magazine article that warns that 96 percent of women who've been with 20 or more lovers are unlikely to find a husband. So to prove this wrong and to turn her life around, she goes on a mission to find all her ex’s, accompanied by her neighbour Colin. WHAT'S YOU NUMBER? is based on the novel '20 Times A Lady' by Karen Bosnak and transformed for the screen by Gabrielle Allan and Jennifer Crittenden.
Expectation:-
The trailer seemed funny. When you know Anna Faris is going to star in a particular movie, you automatically assume that the movie is a sex comedy types. Chris Evans also looks very charming in the movie trailer.
Characters:-
The character of Ally is cute. She gets pulled away with anyone’s opinions. She doesn’t realize what she actually wants. She has a wonderful hobby which is also a great source of earning but she doesn’t use it. Her sister is very supportive. Her ex’s are all weird. Some have changed for good, others still remain the same. Her neighbour, Colin, gets his charm with the ladies. But he has trouble getting rid of them. He is a Slacker/musician/womanizer.
Positives:-
Chris Evans does a good job with his acting.
The leads have good chemistry and the chitchat between them is hysterical.
Comic timing is good.
There isn’t much nudity or body humour used.
The actors who played the ex boyfriends are perfect for their characters.
Negatives:-
Anna Faris could have done better. She has done great job acting, but I wouldn’t say this is her best performance.
The plot is not different. It is like a mash-up of a couple of other movies.
There are many goof ups in the movie.
Overall rating:-
7 out of 10. I would recommend watching this movie.
